Additional Connecticut Stores Impacted by Walgreens Closures
And the closures continue. Just a few weeks ago, I wrote about a few more Connecticut Walgreens locations that were planning to close, and now we have additional stores to add to that list.
One thing that I want to highlight pretty quickly is the comment that was made in my original post. "The Mirror reported that 2025 will likely be a record-breaking year for store closures in the U.S." I hope that comment isn't true, but we are not sure what is to come. If store closures continue to happen, it very well may be true.

At the end of March, I noted that that both the 1083 Boston Post Road store in Milford and the 311 East Main Street store in Middletown were closing this month. Now, more stores are being added to that list.
Walgreens Closes Additional Connecticut Locations
According to their store locator, the following stores will be closing for good:
- Milford - 1083 Boston Post Road - April 21
- Waterbury - 11 Meriden Road - April 22 (the website is showing that this location is currently temporarily closed)
- Middletown - 311 East Main Street - April 23
- New Britain - 1350 Stanley Street - May 19
- East Hartford - 922 Silver Lane - May 20
- New Milford - 173 Danbury Road - May 21
- East Haven - 157 Main Street - May 22
It can be frustrating when your regular store shuts down, especially when you get your medications there. They have a great system in place to help transfer you to another store. They have an entire page on their site dedicated to store closures.
Now that even more are on their way of shutting down, does this mean that's it for Connecticut? Or will more locations continue to close?
