One of the most popular food festivals last year was the inaugural Connecticut Pickle Festival at the Berlin Fairgrounds in July 2024. Connecticut loves pickles, so the promoters have made a major upgrade in venue for 2025.

Pickle Festivals have been popping up here and there over the past couple of years, March Farm in Bethlehem just held their 2025 Sweet Pete's Pickle Festival at the beginning of the month, but if you missed it, what's being billed as 'New England's Largest Pickle Event of the Year' is only 8 weeks away.

Hate pickles? Don't fret, there are quite a few other foodie festivals coming up here in Connecticut. Two different strawberry festivals are happeninging over the next month, Torrington will hold their annual Strawberry Festival May 31, 2025 in Coe Park, while Southbury will hold it's 49th annual Strawberry Festival on June 14, 2025 at UCC on Main St. N. North Branford will hold their 2025 Potato and Corn (PoCo) Festival on August 1,2,3, say hi to Mike Prodoti while you're there. As for the two big Oyster Festivals, Milford's Oyster Fest is happening August 15-16, 2025, while Norwalk's is September 5-7. I'm really looking forward to the 2025 CT Garlic Festival, which is coming back to the Bethlehem Fairgrounds in October.

The Best 'Made in Litchfield County' Products I've Tried Recently

I love supporting local businesses, it's vital in 2025 to try to devote as much of our income to our friends and neighbors, if not, the wave of closures will continue. I bought four products made in Litchfield County in the past few months that really impressed me. On a National stage, I believe they are as good, if not superior, to the name brands.
