The Voice is about to finish its 10th season very soon. One point that's been made by critics is that contestants haven't had success after the show. However, there's one genre some have certainly excelled in - Country Music.
Here is a breakdown of the artists that have appeared on The Voice, and have found success after slapping on a pair of boots:
RaeLynn was eliminated very early in season 2 (Spring 2012), but it didn't stop her determination to make country music. She co-wrote with Miranda Lambert, sang backup with her former Voice Coach Blake Shelton's #1 song "Boys 'Round Here", and had a successful single "God Made Girls" in 2014.
Gwen Sebastian - Season 2
Gwen Sebastian was another season 2 contestant eliminated early from Team Blake, but a duet spot in Blake Shelton's #1 hit "My Eyes". She'll also be opening up on Miranda Lambert's tour this summer.
Cassadee Pope - Season 3 Winner
Cassadee Pope was a lead singer in an alternative band called Hey Monday, and won season 3 (December 2012). Her country album Frame By Frame sold over a million copies and earned 3 successful singles: "Wasting All These Tears", "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart", and "I Am Invincible." Recently, she gained a #1 hit with Chris Young's "Think of You".
Danielle Bradbury - Season 4 Winner
Danielle Bradbury won season 4 (June 2013) on Team Blake at just 16 years old. Months later, she released a debut album and "The Heart of Dixie".
The Swon Brothers - Season 4
Zach and Colton Swon were the first duo to make it onto The Voice's live shows and ranked third place to Danielle Bradbury in season 4, (also on Team Blake). "Later On" was a hit in 2014, and now they'll be performing at Taste of Country Music Festival Saturday, June 11th.
Jake Worthington - Season 6 Runner-Up
Jake Worthington was runner up in season 6 (May 2014) on Team Blake and stuck with his country roots throughout the competition. He recently released "Just Keep Falling In Love" and will also sing at Taste of Country Sunday June 12th.
Craig Wayne Boyd - Season 7 Winner
Craig Wayne Boyd won season 7 in December 2014. Prior to being a contestant, he sung behind the scenes in country music. Blake gave him a song that he was going to record himself but it actually made Billboard history for Craig: "My Baby's Got A Smile On Her Face" debuted #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart: January 3, 2015.
Sawyer Fredericks - Season 8 Winner
Sawyer Fredericks won May 2015 on Team Pharrell Williams at 16 years old. He was born in Newtown CT, but lives on a farm in Fultonville, NY. While on the show, Sawyer sang folk and acoustic songs. His live show performance cover of "I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow" ranked #33 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Here's his single "Take It All" from his debut album.
