Ridgefield's Mark Dollins had a dream. Despite the fact he's 60, has undergone a spinal fusion and two full knee replacements, Dollins was going after his third national wrestling title.

Dollins competed in the USA Wrestling's Folkstyle Championships and WON the title so let's give it up for the 'never-say-never Ridgefield resident, Mark Dollins!! I reached out to Mark to ask him how it felt to win another national title especially after coming back from his injuries. Here's what he told me:

It was a great tournament and worth every bit of preparation. I consider it an honor to even be there at my age. It was a motivator to go back and improve, to work harder and place higher. Mission accomplished 15 years later with this third championship. I’m hoping to compete in Las Vegas next spring in the two Olympic styles: freestyle and Greco Roman. Thanks again for your interest and support. We’d love to get more back into this sport at the masters level. We’re actually starting a masters club at GPS Wrestling in Armonk NY, where I coach and train. Thanks again!

Dollins has always been a never-say-never guy, even when his medical issues stood in the way. He eagerly persevered during his rehabilitation workouts and now all of that hard work has paid off with his third National Master's Wrestling Title! I reached out to Mark Dollins

To reduce inflammation, improve body composition, and increase the body's natural healing abilities, Dollins took advantage of HealthX's whole-body cryotherapy chamber, the only one in the northeast which involves climbing into an infrared sauna followed by a cold plunge. Never say, "Excuse me, but the water's too cold." I have no idea what that is, but it sounds scary as hell!

After working with Christian Oropeza from EHP Fit for the last two years, Mark Dollins has reaped the awards for his intense workouts and his "never-say-never" attitude. From all of us here at I-95, mega CONGRATULATIONS!!
