5 New Milford Dogs Looking For Forever Homes
Every Wednesday morning, we feature an adoptable Dog or Cat from the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford. Since we only do our "Pet of the Week" segment once a week, there are many dogs that haven't been able to visit us here in the studio.
Here are Five Dogs that would love to find their new forever homes, and they are all available now at the Animal Welfare Society on Dodd Road in New Milford.
Newcomb came to the Animal Welfare Society from West Virginia. He's a mix breed and is about two years old. He's easy going and full of enthusiasm and just wants to make you happy. He loves to play and gets along well with people and other dogs -- as long as they can handle his lively nature.
Barton is another dog rescued by the Animal Welfare Society from down south. He's a Border Collie and is very friendly. He's also got some other good traits: he's intelligent and full of enthusiasm. Now he's just looking for a family that will fit his outgoing personality. He's currently undergoing treatment for heart worm, but he would like to have his forever home waiting when he's done with his treatments.
Athena is a Shar Pei mix and wound up at the Animal Welfare Society when her owner didn't want her anymore, how sad is that. She's very active, is extremely smart, and loves to play. All she's looking for now is a new forever home with a family who will keep her busy, and give her the training and attention she needs.
Queeney is a Shar-Pei and is about 8 year's old. She came to the Animal Welfare Society when her owner passed away. Queeney is a very independent girl who would probably get along great in an adult home as the only pet. It takes her a little bit to warm up to new people, but once she does she enjoys the attention and affection. Being a senior dog her adoption fee is reduced, and if your a senior you can take advantage of the senior to senior discount.
Marvella is another dog that the Animal Welfare Society rescued from the South. She's active and loves to play with her toys, and you can always count on her for a good game of fetch. She's very friendly, and gets along well with other dogs. She would make a great companion, especially for someone with some time to devote to training, and you have to be willing to keep her busy and active.
