5 Memorable Country Music Moments in Connecticut (2010-2019)
It's hard to believe we're coming to the end of another decade, and that means a look back at some of the top country music moments that happened right here in Connecticut.
It's been a great decade for country music. KICKS 105.5 launched our country format in January of 2010, and since then, there have been some memorable moments that happened right here in Connecticut.

Miranda Lambert Gets Emotional On Stage
It happened during her show in Hartford back in 2016 when She spotted a sign in the audience, stopped mid song, asked for the sign, and held it up for all to see.

Gretchen Wilson is arrested at Bradley Airport
Country singer Gretchen Wilson was arrested at Bradley Airport in 2018 following a minor incident on a plane. Wilson reportedly got into a shoving match with another passenger over who was first in line for the restroom. The Grammy winner posed for a mugshot at a Connecticut police station with eyes closed. She explained to Taste of Country just what happened.

Luke Bryan Gives Rain Soaked Concert At The Xfinity Theater
Luke Bryan's concert in May of 2017 was hampered by wind soaked rain and cold temperatures. Despite the nasty weather, the show went on, but not before Luke commented on stage about the inclement conditions.

In a rare Connecticut appearance, George Strait played in Hartford during his farewell tour back in 2013. George once said he would never play in the Northeast because people didn't appreciate his music.

Back in 2013 Justin Moore was opening for Brad Paisley in Hartford when he pulled a fan out of the audience to play guitar while he sang one of his big hit's "Small Town USA".
