2023 Should Be a Great Year For Betting on Sports in Connecticut
What's it going to take for you to leave the comfort of your own home to bet on sports? Connecticut is trying hard to do just that for the start of the 23-24 NFL season.
We have Draft Kings and Fan Duel lounges at our World-Class casinos, a brand new sports bar and betting venue inside one of Connecticut's premiere sports venues, and NFL Cheerleaders for the kickoff of the 23-24 NFL season. 2023 seems like it's going to be a good year for betting on sports in Connecticut.
Now that's it's legal, are you still having fun betting on sports? Most still bet online from home, but with the NFL season kicking off tomorrow, it might be a good day to enjoy a new venue, or hang with some NFL cheerleaders. Connecticut's newest sports betting venue/sports bar is soft-opening this weekend inside the XL Center in Hartford. According to wfsb.com, the new space is around 5,000 square feet, features 12 betting machines with 86 screens, and can fit around 300 people.
Mohegan Sun's Fan Duel Sportsbook will welcome cheerleaders from the New England Patriots to their season-kickoff tailgate party. The event takes place Thursday, September 7, from 5-8PM, and the cheerleaders are bringing 4 tickets to a Red Sox game at Fenway later this month to give away at halftime. Foxwoods is also bringing out a Patriot, Rob Ninkovich will be appearing at the Draft Kings kickoff party at the Draft Kings Sportsbook inside the casino on Sunday September 10 from 3:30-4:30PM.
What would make me go to a sports book on a Sunday? Free wings. I don't see that offered anywhere yet.
