Congratulations to the proud graduates of the Connecticut State Police 208th Patrol K-9 class.

Ten canine teams proudly graduated from the 208th Patrol Dog class on December 19 at the State Police Training Academy.

It takes a special type of Trooper to become a canine specialist. Once the officer has passed the rigorous selection process, they go through a 4-month training regimen.

According to state police, each dog and its handler work together to establish that special bond that makes them a team. The training includes obedience, searching and tracking, evidence recovery, and a rigid physical fitness regimen.

Congratulations to the Connecticut State Police 208th K-9 graduates - Arno, Broko, Bowser, Warin, Zoro, Tyson, Sonny, Radar, Drago, and Arrow along with their dedicated training officers.
