On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Depending on where you live, you may or may not see a Total Solar Eclipse when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, COMPLETELY blocking the face of the Sun. This will be the first total solar eclipse in the continental U.S. in seven years, and it's like seeing a window into another dimension. Don't forget to order your protective eyewear.

Unfortunately, Connecticut residents will only see a partial solar eclipse because it is not in the path of totality. If you desire to witness the entire TOTAL ECLIPSE, I'll let you know where you can witness this amazing phenomenon in New York State and Vermont, along with suggestions about available accommodations

Connecticut residents The website travelquesttours brilliantly describes what you will see during a Total Solar Eclipse: "About 30 minutes before totality, the Sun is cut in half, and the light level starts to get noticeably lower. The sunlight gets eerie as it dims further, and it has a quality that, to me, is like quicksilver or mercury — others describe it as liquid silver, sparkly, or metallic. It’s beautiful! Minutes before totality, you might see shadow bands shimmering and dancing across the ground or on a light-colored wall."
