New England defines the look and feel of the Christmas season, especially after new falling snow. I have nothing against the warm-weather state of Florida (Florida, you say), but Christmas is not the same when you're in shorts and a t-shirt and wearing a Santa hat.

Countryliving.com rated it 'The Most Magical Christmas Town in the U.S.,' and Essex, Connecticut, proudly landed at #7. I don't understand how Delray Beach, Florida, made the list. My all-time favorite Christmas town is a four-hour drive to the southern tip of New Jersey to the town of Cape May. We have a close friend named Harry who lives in Cape May, and we've seen this picturesque town decorated for Christmas a number of times and it is a sight to behold!
