Newtown’s Edmond Town Hall Announces Drive-In Movie Series

Who doesn't love a good drive-in?

I had just recently posted an article about the Southington Drive-In and how they just released their line-up for this year's drive-in series. I have some good news to follow that up. If you didn't want to drive all the way to Southington to experience a drive-in, our neighbors in Newtown are offering you the chance as well.

Edmond Town Hall has just announced their 2024 Summer Drive-In Movies. The drive-in series is set to start on the weekend of June 14 and it continues through the last weekend of August. One thing I find interesting about this drive-in series is that they will play the same movies on both Friday and Saturday each weekend, giving people an extra opportunity to come see each specific movie.

They will be showing 10 movies throughout their summer series and it will happen every single weekend from opening weekend to closing weekend. The cost will be $20 per car or $6 walk-ins. Movies will start at dusk and food trucks will be announced weekly.

The lineup of movies consists of The Goonies, Top Gun, Shrek, The Shining, The Lorax, Jurassic Park, Dazed and Confused, Footloose, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter.

This seems like its going to be the summer of drive-ins and I'm not mad about it at all. I have so many plans to hit up these Connecticut drive-ins and I can't wait to see what they have in store.
