I've heard about these Candlelight concerts that are taking place in Connecticut but I've never attended one.

It appears that these are mostly tribute shows presented under the warm dance of candles. They have two Taylor Swift Tribute shows coming up in Hartford at the Bond Ballroom at 338 Asylum Street, Hartford.

Venue: The Bond Ballroom - Hartford
Dates and times: select your dates/times directly in the ticket selector
⏳ Duration: 65 minutes (doors open 45 mins prior to the start time and late entry is not permitted)
Age requirement: 8 years old or older. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
♿ Accessibility: this venue is ADA compliant

They add: "Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations like never seen before in Connecticut. Get your tickets now to discover the music of Taylor Swift in The Bond Ballroom under the gentle glow of candlelight."

The shows are Friday, April 5th and Thursday, May 23rd and the ticket prices are based on zones. Zone A prices are right around $60, Zone B is $50 and Zone C is around $40.

Metallica Live At The Hartford Civic Center - 1989

Hey Metal Heads! I was sifting through YouTube of Connecticut concert videos from the past and found a really nice one from 1989! Oh, yea, 1989, the year I graduated from High School, the year of Michael Keaton's Batman, Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing, Morgan Freeman was Driving Miss Daisy...AND Metallica ROCKED the Civic Center in Hartford! Here are some screen grabs from that amazing night of March 17, 1989, a little blurry but not bad at all considering it was a video taken from the crowd with some sort of camcorder that was available at the time. Mark Twain lived in CT for nearly 20 years, he owned homes in Hartford and Redding. Twain even purchased a second Redding home for his daughter. During his CT years he wrote classics like; "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court."
